The humorous and slightly ironic name of the Collection plays with society’s ubiquitous and rigid need for labeling. By deconstructing the elements of folk costume that reflect the traditional distribution of power, SestreS suggests that we are free to choose the roles we play in society and to assign power freely. Discrimination is recognized as indecency, and fashion is one of the opportunities to free and express ourselves.
